Everyone is welcome to get involved with the Disability Cultural Center. Below are opportunities to connect and engage with the DCC.
- Attend DCC Events
- The DCC hosts recurring and one time events and helps promote disability-related events hosted by campus partners
- Sign up for the DCC newsletter
- The monthly DCC newsletter connects readers with DCC news, updates, opportunities and events
- Follow the DCC on Social Media (Facebook: UT-Disability Cultural Center and Instagram: dcc_ut)
- The most up to date place to find events, news, and spotlights
- Request an Accessibility Consultation
- Get support, ideas, and feedback on how to develop projects and programs that are accessible
- Request a training or workshop
- Trainings provided on a variety of disability and accessibility topics
- Request an Interview
- Interviews available for student assignments and published media
- Donate to the DCC
- Financially support DCC programming with a monetary gift
- Check out a book from the DCC Library (Coming Spring 2024!)
- DCC maintains a growing collection of disability-related material for use by the UT community
- Join an Advisory Committee
- The DCC maintains a student and faculty advisory committee in conjunction with Disability and Access. Applications are accepted in the summer for the following academic year.
- Intern with the DCC
- The DCC welcomes interns from a variety of programs. Contact the DCC directly for more information about internship opportunities
- Work at the DCC
- The DCC hires Graduate Assistants and Work-Study Eligible Student Associates. Currently available positions are posted on Handshake.

- DFSA connects disabled faculty and staff with community and resources and helps celebrate the voices, identities, experiences, and talents of the group.
- Join a Student Organization
- Check out the disability-related student organizations listed on the Student Groups and Organizations section of the DCC website.
- Sign up to be a Volunteer Notetaker
- Student volunteer notetakers share their notes with a student with a disability who get notes as a disability accommodations. Volunteer notetakers get service hours for their time and service,
- Add a Disability Studies minor or portfolio
- Undergraduate and graduate students can add a Disability Studies designation to their degree.
