Disability Trainings

There are several programs, centers, and departments at UT who offer disability-related trainings, presentations and workshops. Please review the list below to find the options that will be the best fit for your learning needs.  

Disability and Access: Disability and Access offers trainings related to student academic accommodations, accessibility in the classroom, and working with students with disabilities. Individualized trainings based on audience need are available on a case by case basis. Trainings are provided for UT instructors, staff, and students (including student groups, organizations, and classes). Disability Cultural Center: The Disability Cultural Center provides trainings around a variety of disability-related topics, including disability identity, culture, accessibility, and universal design for learning. The DCC offers standardized trainings or can customize a training for the needs of your team. Trainings are provided for UT instructors, staff, and students (including student groups, organizations, and classes).  Requests made by outside groups will be considered on a case by case basis. Longhorn TIES Neurodiversity Support Program: Longhorn TIES is proud to host and deliver autism and neurodiversity presentations and trainings to The University of Texas at Austin community (including faculty and staff, undergraduate and graduate classes, student organizations, and more) as well as community agencies. ADA Coordinators: The ADA Coordinators provide trainings around workplace accessibility and accommodations for UT supervisors, employees, and colleagues. Contact ada@austin.utexas.edu to request a training. 

Texas Center for Disability Studies: The Texas Center for Disability Studies provides trainings across a range of disability-related topics for the UT Campus as well as the Austin/Texas community. Contact tcdsut@gmail.com to request a training.
