We are excited to welcome Zariah Smith as the newest Access Coordinator in Disability and Access!
Zariah Smith (she/her) is originally from Colorado. She attended Fort Hays State University in Kansas where she competed in collegiate athletics and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. Zariah is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) that brings a diverse clinical background ranging in the areas of higher education, employee assistance programs (EAP), child welfare, youth psychiatric, and accessibility services. She most recently worked as a Disability Counselor at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX ensuring that college students have equal access to academic opportunities through reasonable accommodations. She is excited to bring her passion to UT in supporting students, creating an inclusive environment, and breaking the stigma around disabilities. In her free time, Zariah finds joy in attending church, playing golf, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her loved ones.
