The Spring 2022 semester is almost over but before you finish classes we have some important reminders and exciting opportunities to share with you!
We are so excited to be hosting Disability Graduation to celebrate our graduates! Disability Graduation will consist of a reception on May 18th and an opportunity to receive a Graduation Celebration Package! Graduates must RSVP by May 8th. It’s time to nominate a faculty or staff member who has had a positive impact on your semester! We will need their name, department and a short description of how they have made a difference for you this semester. Deadline is May 15th.
SSD Annual Student Survey
Share your experiences using accommodations and interaction with SSD! Taking 10 minutes to complete our survey helps us understand how we can improve the accommodation process at UT. Complete the survey by May 29th and be entered into a drawing for a gift card!
SSD Name Change
Over the summer SSD will be changing our name to Disability and Access (D&A)! This new name was selected in consultation with input from students, faculty and staff. We will be transitioning to Disability and Access over the summer but our goal and priorities remain the same; to ensure students with disabilities have equal access to their academic experiences at UT. Learn more about the name change here: https://community.utexas.edu/disability/2022/04/ssd-name-change/
Disabled UT students (official diagnosis not needed) who also identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA2+, and/or nonbinary: Help researchers learn more about the tech supports you use and/or prefer! Please complete this anonymous survey: https://utexas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0j0QFRQqH3Ug4vA
