Welcome to Fall 2021
We hope your first week of classes went well and you are getting settled into campus life! Below is some important information to help you effectively use your accommodations and connect with community.
Accommodation Letters
SSD staff are working hard processing Accommodation Letters so please be patient and remember it takes 3-5 business days (1 week) for requests to be processed. If you haven’t requested your letters yet, or want to some support with having conversations with your instructions visit our Using Accommodations web page .
New: Campus Testing Center
SSD is excited to be partnering with Testing and Evaluation Services to pilot a new Campus Testing Center in the George L Sanchez Building (SZB 5th floor, suite 5.102) for students with testing accommodations to take their tests. You should have received an email yesterday with details but if you missed it you can find more information here.
Be sure to talk with your instructors about how your testing accommodations will be provided before submitting a test reservation for the CTC! If your instructor wants you to test at the CTC, you will need to submit a test reservation via the SSD Student Portal and your instructor will then need to confirm it. See the SSD website for specific timelines and more detailed instructions.
Important Dates:
September 1st: SSD begins accepting test reservations for the Campus Testing Center
Monday September 6th: Labor Day-SSD Closed
Friday September 10th: 12th class day/last day to add or drop a class
