The article highlights some educational solutions which might reverse the negative trends that have become widely associated with African American males in the U.S. Several researchers examines the reasons why most of the African American students experience academic failure. The result reveals that youths are becoming uninterested in school and some even dropping out before they reach senior high school. Nevertheless, systematic solutions are carried out to address these problems. The researchers claim that teachers have an important role to play in reversing the negative academic and social behaviors of African American males. Thus, parents also must motivate, encourage their sons so that they will use their talents and ability to perform successfully in the classroom.
