Important Testing Deadline Today!
SSD Test Reservation
All accommodated tests for Fall 2019, including finals, that need to be taken at SSD must be reserved in the SSD Web Portal by TODAY, Friday November 1st at midnight. You will still be able to turn in signed confirmation forms from instructors after this date but the tests must be reserved in the Web Portal by November 1st.
As a reminder, you should only reserve space to test at SSD if your instructor is unable to accommodate you. Check out more information about using your testing accommodations.
Contacting SSD
This is a busy time of year for students and staff. You are always welcome to contact your Coordinator with questions or concerns related to your accommodations but be aware that this time of year it may take longer than usual for your Coordinator to respond. We recommend checking the SSD website first since it may be faster to find answers there instead of waiting for your Coordinator to respond.

Facebook & SSD Recruiting Lunch and Networking Event
Tuesday, November 5th, 11:30am-2:30pm GDC 2.104
Facebook is partnering with SSD to host a drop in office hours lunch on Tuesday, November 5, 11:30am – 2:30pm. There will be a Facebook recruiter present to answer questions about Facebook, job and internship opportunities, resume review and submissions, etc. This is open to students with disabilities of all majors! There will also be Facebook goodie bags and a raffle for an Oculus Go headset!

Lime Connect Webinar: Career Resources and Strategies for Disclosing a Disability to Employers

Lime Connect is a global non-profit organization that focuses on rebranding disability though achievement. Through their programs they offer networking opportunities, professional development, and a fellowship program for high achieving undergraduate students with disabilities. The webinar will offer information about the free career assistance resources Lime offers, and will address common concerns related to disclosing a disability to a future employer and strategies for doing so.
